Five Sisters Crystals
Raku Cross Mini Figurine Glazed 2.5"
Regular price $14.95
Each Raku Cross is fired in an outdoor kiln, red hot. It is then pulled from the kiln and placed into a pit with wood shavings. The intense heat ignites a blaze giving the cross its unique flashes of color making it one of a kind. This sacred cross is designed and produced by Jeremy Diller. Each cross comes with a hang loop and a magnet for easy display. Sold in different designs. Measurements Approximated 2.5" x 1.5"
If your wondering what Raku no worries we will tell you. It is actually a Japanese style of pottery. It was first made during the 1580s; the practice is characterized by the removal of a clay object from the kiln at the height of the firing and causing it to cool very rapidly. By doing so it ensures that each piece comes out looking different even thought the same glaze was used so no two are the same!
